While the Archdiocese of Detroit had generously donated the services of one its priests for decades, they are not responsible for CSM financially. This means that we are responsible to secure our own funding to advance the mission that has been passed down to us since our founding in 1933. We look back on this 2022 year with grateful hearts and give thanks for many blessings: a return to normal after COVID restrictions including Mackinac Island Trips; our beautiful camp being protected from a devastating tornado in May; the counselors, staff, and campers who joined us for another fantastic summer session; and all of you our wonderful and generous supporters! Camp Sancta Maria is the beautiful “home-away-from-home” because of all of you who make it possible for the campers to grow spiritually, personally, and communally.

We do not always get to hear of the impact of our gifts but we were blessed to learn of the following story from a mother who received financial aid to help her children attend Camp. She wrote, “They had an amazing time as usual, and we are blessed that this was possible. Grateful doesn’t begin to describe it. Knowing they got to be “normal” kids doing “normal” things for a couple weeks helps me breathe easier. They have been through a lot and any moments they get to just be kids are gifts from God. They need as much prayer and encouragement as possible to help guide them along their way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Camp Sancta Maria, and the people who work there, have restored my faith in humanity ten times over. Thank you!”

Only through your kind support is CSM able to provide children an opportunity to be “normal” kids doing “normal” things while growing in friendship and spending time with the Lord. Your response to this year’s Annual Appeal is especially important to provide young people a technology-free, safe, and faith-filled atmosphere packed with fun. Your gift provides new outdoor experiences which enable campers to create memories that will last a lifetime. As we approach the Christmas season would you help us with a donation—the most generous possible?

By contributing to our Annual Appeal, your generosity will bring about corral renovations and beach improvements, bridge the gap between the cost of a camper attending CSM and the cost of tuition, and assist children and grandchildren who otherwise couldn’t attend CSM. 2022 GIVING TUESDAY

 
At CSM, our campers experience everything from the adventure and adrenaline rush of the zip line to the refreshment of the beach. The excitement of horseback riding and the team building in our sports programs. The thrill of our Arc Games and the quiet creativity in our Crafts program.
 
Will you help us enhance these programs with new equipment and materials? The following items are needed:
  • Sports: portable pop-up soccer nets, soccer balls, frisbees, and footballs
  • Beach: life jackets, volleyball net and volleyball, canoe paddles along with donations for continued improvements and sand, sand, and more sand
  • Corral: helmets and ‘lil dudes chaps
  • Arc Games: materials like glue, padding, and duct tape, etc. to build and repair game gadgets, tools and armor
  • Crafts: Tie dye kits, paint, beads, etc.
  • Ropes Course: helmets and general repairs and maintenance
  • Archery and Archery Tag: fletches to repair arrows, replacement limbs for the archery tag bows

Can’t decide which is your favorite program but still want to make a donation? You can also donate to support our Scholarship Fund. Sessions cost $750 for a two-week trip or $485 for a one-week trip–sponsor an entire trip or donate toward one.

ONE-TIME DONATIONS

Your donations support CSM families, facilities, and programs. Because of your gifts, kids are able to come to Camp and learn new skills, make new friends, work as a team, encourage and support one another, and grow in their relationship with the Lord. Faith and fun all in one place!  All of this is possible because of YOU! Thank you!

In addition, we strive to provide every child access to the CSM experience regardless of their ability to pay. CSM’s Scholarship Fund allows us to ensure, with your help, that no child is turned away.

DONATIONS IN MEMORY OF CSM ALUMNUS TREVOR KYRIAKOZA

Please join us as we remember CSM alumnus Trevor Kyriakoza, who went home to be with our Lord on August 19, 2021, at the tender age of 30.
 
Some of you may remember Trevor, who was both a camper and a counselor between 2002 and 2009.

In love and friendship, we share in the sorrow of the entire Kyriakoza family. The continued prayers of your CSM family are with you.

CAMP CHAMPIONS MONTHLY GIVING

Through monthly donations, Camp Champions provide CSM with a consistent and reliable source of funding that allows us a financial foundation to plan ahead. ARCHERY TAG DONATIONS

at exciting new programs at CSM?
 
The cancellation of our day trip to Mackinac Island due to COVID-19 restrictions has given us an opportunity to explore some new action-packed programs for our campers right on the grounds of CSM.
 
Enter archery tag, which combines elements of dodgeball or other challenge-type games with the timeless skills of archery. Players take aim at each other with non-lethal soft foam-tipped arrows to score points or eliminate opposing team members. Our campers will enjoy the adventure and adrenaline rush, while moms and dads will appreciate the family-friendly nature of this unique sport.
 
Our new archery tag program is for the kiddos, but you can join in the fun vicariously by helping us purchase the best quality equipment. Together we can build the safest equipment and most thrilling archery tag program possible for our children and grandchildren.

Drumroll, please….
Donations for the Corral totaled $1,915 and donations for the Beach totaled $1,467. Thank you for your generosity. We are sincerely grateful to you.
 
But of course the real winners are our campers. Our children and grandchildren who attend CSM will benefit from the use of all the equipment we’ll be able to purchase for the corral and the beach because of your prayerful and financial support.
 
We can’t do this without you! We keep repeating it because it’s true. It is only with your support that we can continue to offer our campers the wonderful programs available at Camp Sancta Maria.
 
Together we are doing great things at CSM for our children and grandchildren !
